Welcome to the First Annual aCATemy Awards!

If, as I did, yoo wunderd ware the cat videeyos were in the long list of Academy Award nominayshuns, heer’s yer chanse to eether showcase yer work in film or applawd the efforts of other feeline moovey makers.

Are yoo a Feeline Felinni? A Kitty Kurosawa? A Furry Fassbinder? A Tabby Tarantino? Enter now for yer chanse to win an aCATemy Award!

CATegoreez:

  • Best Performance by a Cat

  • Kyootest Red Carpit Owtfit (foto or videeyo entry)
  • Best Moovey

ELIJIBILITY
Any cat with eether a blog or a Catster ID may submit an entry for konsiderayshun.

HOW IT WERKS

  • Yoo may enter as many videeyos as yoo like. Evry video is eligible for the “Best Performance by a Cat” award. If yoo submit multiple entreez, the skreening commitey reezerves the rite to reemoove any videeyos that do not meet minimum qwality standerds. (As in, if yoo submit evry videeyo yoo’ve ever made and thare not all rivetting, sum may git reemooved — we will leeve at leest one of yer entreez in the kontest, tho.)
  • Slideshows are akseptabul moovey entreez.

  • In the “Kyootest Red Carpit Owtfit” category, only one entry per cat. All cats in a given howsehold may enter. Fotoshopped images are akseptable, Chey. Both foto and videeyo entreez will be akseptid.
  • It’s my kontest, so I can change the roolz anytime I wunt.
  • Me, my big bruther Mao, Rocky and Trip may enter but are ineligible for prizes.

  • If thare are a suffishunt number of entreez, addishunul categoreez may be added.
HOW TO ENTER: Go to blogger and log in with emale adress acatemyawards@gmail.com and pw: skeezix. Post yer entry. Make shur yoo provide a link to yer blog or Catster profile. Also, let us know hoo made the moovey and hoo is starring in it (see template).

PRIZES:
ENTRY DEDLINE: Midnite PDT March 31st, 2006
JUDGING: Deepends on the number of entreez. The Selekshun Commitey will probably selekt finulists and have the publik pik the winner. Finulists will be selektid in part by the comments left for eech entry as a meens of deetermining popularity.

Here’s Bitey with his new woman. She finally got smart and dumped her husband. He was a bad influence on her fashion sense, so now she’s back to looking as great as she did years ago. And it’s all Bitey’s influence. Normally dressed in a tuxedo, Bitey looks right at home in this YSL old-school tux.

Heard the rumors that Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal are the newest Hollywood item? They’re WRONG! Reese has been secretly dating One-Eyed Stevie and they’re taking their relationship public on the red carpet for the Acatemy Awards!

The crowd gasped when this couple arrived on the red carpet. While he should be at home with wife Melania and baby Baron, The Donald is out on the town with Lucy the Cat! We’re not sure how serious this relationship might be, but our body language expert notices how they’re leaning close to each other, “clearly more than just friends” says Dr. Feline Form.
